Standard BB150 Gearbox configured to mount 1 motor with either a 3.2mm or 5mm shaft and either a 13mm, 15mm or 17.5mm boss. Motors with this configuration include RS-540, RS-545, RS-550, RS-555, RS-775, and RS-775 motors. Many hobby motors and cordless drill motors are this size.

SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED
Gearbox will be delivered assembled and tested; however, it will need to be disassembled to grease and mount the motor prior to use. No special tools are required, typically only an allen wrench. A small arbor press or bench vise is useful for pushing the pinion onto the motor shaft.
GEARBOX MUST BE GREASED
Prior to use the gearbox must be greased, grease IS NOT INCLUDED and must be purchased separately. We recommend Mobil XHP 222 Special grease; however, most lithium based ball bearing grease can be used. We do not sell grease separately, it can be readily purchased from most local auto parts stores or online suppliers such as MSC, Grainger, and McMaster among others. Custom gearboxes can be supplied greased.
MOUNTING HARDWARE INCLUDED
Standard Gearbox includes one mounting kit. Mounting kit contains everything required to mount 1 motor of the appropriate size including pinion, screws, and lock washers to attach the motor to the gearbox. (Mounting kit not included by default with custom gearboxes, it is an option.)
Mounting a large load to the end of an unsupported shaft may damage the gearbox. The shafts on these gearboxes are supported by two ball bearings making them fairly rugged; however, we do not recommend them to be used with large overhung loads. We recommend using a design that supports the end of the shaft. If it is not possible to support the end of the shaft, we recommend mounting the load as close to the face of the gearmotor as possible and cutting the shaft to length if needed.
These gearboxes are made with individual gear segments. Stages can be removed or added to the gearbox as required to get the desired total output reduction. For example a 4:1 stage could be added to a 16:1 gearbox to get a 64:1 gearbox. Likewise a 4:1 stage could be removed from a 16:1 gearbox to get a 4:1 gearbox.
